Jan is a computer scientist interested in the application of machine and deep learning techniques in the medical context. After receiving his Master’s degree at the University of Münster, he started working in the Medical Machine Learning Lab, where he focused on robust uncertainty estimation.

Currently, Jan is working in the Computer Vision and Machine Learning Systems Group (CMVLS) of Prof. Dr. Risse as a member of the Medical Scientist Programme InFlame and the Medical Machine Learning Lab, trying to bridge the gap between theoretical advances in computer science and medical applications. His current research focuses on inflammation.
