Maximilian Konowski

PhD student

After completing his master’s degree in information systems in 2017, Max began an exciting journey in the technology industry. Throughout his career, he has been involved in various projects that utilize Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions, providing customers with valuable insights from their vast amount of data. When the opportunity to join the MMLL (Medical Machine Learning Lab) came up, he saw it as a golden chance to pursue his doctoral studies in this thriving field.

He is interested in utilizing neural networks for image processing and extracting information from volumetric MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) scans. Currently, Max is working on a project where he aims to segment skin biopsy images, enabling automated analysis of specific features. Additionally, he tries to improve speed and performance of MRI-analysis by using self-supervised training approaches. With his research he hopes to drive innovation in the medical-sector and have an impact on personal healthcare.
